CPT® Hip System
| The CPT Hip System features a highly polished surface and double taper design approach to total hip replacement. Although its size and distinct shape give the prosthesis a nontraditional appearance, the concept behind the CPT Hip System has more than 20 years of clinical follow-up. 1 The CPT Hip System can be used for both primary and revision surgeries. For revision surgeries, in which an earlier hip prosthesis is being removed and replaced by a new one, the CPT Hip System utilizes a specialized implanting technique to address bone loss commonly encountered in revision situations. A variety of sizes offer the physician the opportunity to create patient specific solutions. |

Implanting Technique for Revision Surgeries
When used as a revision stem, the CPT Hip System can be used with morselized
allograft (fragments of bone material) and bone cement to create a construct
within which the artificial joint is secured.
