VerSys® Hip System Taper Hip Prostheses
The VerSys Enhanced Taper and VerSys Fiber Metal Taper hips are based on a
taper design philosophy that uses porous surfaces for fixation. Fiber
metal mesh and/or a corundumized (roughened) surface help to secure the
implants within the femoral canal.
VerSys Enhanced Taper Hip
The Enhanced Taper is a fully corundumized (roughened finish from top to
bottom) and tapers to the bottom. The overall corundumized surface finish
provides for overall fixation of the joint. The fins at the top of the
implant engage bone at the top of the femoral canal. This provides for
fixation and rotational stability at the top of the joint.
VerSys Fiber Metal Taper Hip
The Fiber Metal Taper uses both fiber metal and a corundumized surface
finish to provide fixation at the top and mid-point of the joint.
