NexGen® Complete Knee Solution Cruciate Retaining Augmentable Knee (CRA)

NexGen CRA The NexGen CRA, a cruciate retaining implant, is intended for patients who, in the physician's judgement, have adequate bone stock and whose ligaments provide adequate joint stability but may require augmentation or stem extensions for fixation or bone loss compensation. The CRA is frequently used for patients undergoing "revision" or surgery for replacement of an existing knee joint. The CRA is designed to help accommodate people with the ability and desire to perform activities that require at least 0-120 degrees of flexion such as, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs.

NexGen CRA Case Study

NexGen CRA X-rays The x-rays shown are from a 79-year-old male, candidate for revision total knee replacement surgery, who had symptoms of night pain, severe pain when walking or climbing stairs, and difficulty in bending activities. Range of motion preoperatively was 0-95 degrees and his ligaments were stable. Postoperatively, the patient recovered well and had a range of motion after rehabilitation of 0-111 degrees. Note: This case study represents the outcome of only one patient and results may vary.
